This page provides information on area hospitals, and what Shabbos and Yom Tov accommodations are available:
St.
Mary's Hospital (Boulevard), Passaic, NJ:
St. Mary's Hospital is inside the Passaic Clifton eruv and is within walking
distance to a large portion of the Passaic community. There are pre-packaged
food packages available upon request. Additionally
you may contact Pastoral Care for access to the Shabbos room.
Hackensack
University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ:
There is no eruv in the area. There are sleeping and food accommodations available near the hospital. Contact Security or Pastoral Care to access these accommodations. There
are also two kosher food pantries in the Children and Maternity buildings.
St.
Joseph's Medical Center, Paterson, NJ:
There is no eruv in the area. There is a Shabbos room in the hospital that is stocked with kosher necessities and has sleeping accommodations. The room is on the 3rd floor. Contact
Pastoral Services or Security to gain entry.
Holy
Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ:
Holy Name Hospital is within the Teaneck eruv. There is a Bikur Cholim room with sleeping accommodations and Glatt Kosher food available on the third floor of the nursing school, accessible from the main hospital. Contact Pastoral Services or Security to gain entry. The
hospital is also within walking distance to Shuls and other Jewish establishments.
Englewood
Hospital, Englewood, NJ:
There is no eruv in the immediate area. There is a Shabbos room
and kosher kitchen on the third floor of the hospital. Contact
Pastoral Services or Security to gain entry.
New York City Hospitals
Almost all of New York City's major hospitals have full service Bikur Cholim
rooms, as well as nearby Bikur Cholim apartments. Contact Pastoral
Care at these hospitals for more information.
